I choose this quote because I believe it's true. I think that you can learn more throughout life and from your experiences then from reading books. When you read you become book smart but books don't tell you how to become street smarts because you needs street smarts to make it through life.

Columbus Day.

What does it say about our to celebrate Columbus day? In my opinion it's not as deep as people make it seem. I don't think that everyone else in the world is worried about North America celebrating Columbus day. The rest of the world isn't losing sleep because we celebrate Christopher Columbus day. Sure the man doesn't deserve the day and we shouldn't be celebrating it but we do so some people need to just get over it. There is more important things in the world to worry about so people stuck on this need to get a new hobby. I'm not saying that I condone what Christopher Columbus did to the Native Americans and how he screwed them over is right but hey I'm still in High School and we get a day off and  I look forward to that day. Quite frankly I don't know anyone who celebrates this day, It's not even a major holiday!
